Tuesdays With Dorie – Lemon Custard
Hot diggity dog!

I’m coming off of a bad streak. The last four or five recipes either half-flopped or totally bombed. Nothing turned out well, which is a pain in the balls because all of the recipes looked so good.
And then there was plain old boring lemon custard. Rachel wasn’t interested. I was only mildly interested, and I haven’t had luck with a pudding since butterscotch pudding some time ago. Floating Islands were an unmitigated disaster.
Lemon Custard is probably the easiest thing I’ve had to do yet, since the day that I decided to bake a blueberry pie from scratch for this crazy baking experiment. And it was good! So good! Only mildly lemony (I forgot to put in the optional lemon extract that I bought), creamy, and kind of eggy (which Rachel hated).
More custard for me.
Good bye, Internet.

More for you, oh darn
And sometimes, you have those bad baking streaks – that’s when I bake some bread, because even if it’s ugly, it still tastes wonderful. Brings to mojo back, you know?
