What a pain!
The cake and the ganache came together great. It’s the assembly portion…it just killed me.
This is a call to action. DORIE – DO NOT MAKE US CUT OUR CAKES INTO THREE HORIZONTAL SLICES. This is not a thing that keeps cakes intact. It crumbles them and destroys them.
Also, my ganache didn’t spread.
Also, I’m a whiny old man.
I was so grumpy tonight that I decided to skip the glaze. I’m glad that I did, as the whole thing was so overwhelmingly chocolatey and sweet with the ganache that a chocolate glaze would have killed it for me.
Chestnuts are gross.
In conclusion, fart.

let me just say i give you props for even making it. i would totally skip it if someone hadnt sent me a can of the chestnut spread. now, i feel like i have to make it. so good job dude. you gave it a go.

It gives me immense pleasure that I’m not the only sourpuss doing TWD. All these chirpy ‘Good job!’s are starting to make me feel like I missed the kool-aid pass-out.
